Sarah Rafferty

  Sarah Gray Rafferty (born December 6 1972) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known role is her character Donna Paulsen on the USA Network legal drama Suits. Rafferty was the youngest of four children, and was raised in Greenwich's Riverside neighborhood. Rafferty grew up in the neighborhood of Riverside in Greenwich in Connecticut. She was one of the youngest daughters. She credits her mother Mary Lee Rafferty (chairwoman of the English Department at Convent of the Sacred Heart school) as well as her father Michael Griffin Rafferty Jr. to instilling a love of the arts. Rafferty graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover in 1989. She majored in English and theatre at Hamilton College as well as was a theatre student abroad in the United Kingdom and at the University of Oxford during her senior year. Then after graduating with a magna cum laude from Hamilton in 1993, went to study at the Yale School of Drama, graduating with a Master in Fine Arts.
