Rocsi Diaz

  Raquel Roxanne "Rocsi" Diaz also known as just Rocsi, is an Honduran-born radio and television personality as well as a model. From 2006 until 2012, she was co-host of the BET show 106 & Park. She was a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight from 2012 to 2014. Her name was "RocsiDiaz". Diaz was born in Tegucigalpa (Honduras) and then moved with her family in New Orleans (Louisiana). Diaz is of Honduran and Chilean descent. Rocsi made it clear on 106 & Park on July 30, 2009, that she suffered from anorexia during her years in high school and middle school due to her love for cheerleading. She attended West Jefferson High School in Harvey, Louisiana. She earned her degree from Nicholls State University.After growing up in New Orleans, she launched her career in Dallas, Texas, as host on the city's most popular urban radio station, 97.9 The Beat. There, Rocsi cultivated a unique street-smart look that caught the attention of Boston's Hot 97.7 which she eventually became a DJ. In 2004, she relocated to Chicago where she was hired as midday-hour DJ at Radio station Power 92 WPWX FM. She was known as "The Midday Mami".
