Nargis Fakhri was born on October 20 1979 was an American model and actress. She mostly appears in films that are in Hindi. Her first role in film came with the 2011 romantic drama Rockstar, for which she was nominated to win the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. After being a war correspondent in the thriller about politics Madras Cafe (2013) she played a lead role in the highly successful comedies Main Tera Hero (2014) and Spy (2015). She was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for the Best Female Debut. Fakhri was born to Mohammed Fakhri and Marie Fakhri (a former police officer). Her father is Pakistani, and her mother is Czech. Aliya is her older sister. Fakhri's parents divorced when she was six, and her father passed away a few years after that. Fakhri is a "global citizen" because of her mixed Pakistani/Czech and American roots.
