Nargis Fakhri (born on the 20th of October, 1979) is an American actress and model who is primarily employed in Indian Hindi-language films. Rockstar was her debut film role. She was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. After acting as a war correspondent for the thriller about politics Madras Cafe (2013) she starred in the highly successful comedies Main Tera Hero (2014) and Spy (2015). The actress was also nominated for the Filmfare award for the Best Female Debut. Fakhri was born to Mohammed Fakhri and Marie Fakhri (a former officer in police). Her father is Pakistani, and her mother is Czech. There is a younger sister, Aliya. Fakhri's parents divorced when she was six, and her father passed away after that. Fakhri is a "global citizen" because of her mixed Pakistani/Czech as well as American roots.
