Bérénice Marlohe

  Berenice Lim Marlohe (born 19 May 1979) is a French actress from France. In Skyfall the twenty-third James Bond movie, she was the character Severine who was an anti-heroine Bond-girl. Her television credits include Pere et Maire, Femmes de loi, and Equipe medicale d'urgence. Uncredited, she was part of the French comedy Happiness Never Comes Alone. She is also an spokesperson for Omega Watches. Marlohe was born and was raised in Paris. Her father, a medical doctor who moved from Cambodia to France, is of Cambodian and Chinese descent, and her mother, a teacher, is French. Lim is her maternal grandmother's surname. Her initial goals were becoming a musician as well as an artist. She studied at the French arts school Conservatoire de Paris for ten years. Marlohe first made her appearance in 2007 in a French short film titled La disconance. She then appeared in French television shows like Pas de secrets between us (2008) Femmes de loi (2008) and R.I.S. police scientifique (2009). She was on the show twice: French crime drama R.I.S, police scientifique, once in 2009 and once in 2012. The actress was also the date for Laurent in Happiness Never Comes Alone in 2012 and 2009. She believes in fate and said that she dreamed of being a part of the team alongside Javier Bardem six years before her Bond audition. Following the vision, she was confident that all would go smoothly. Bardem was chosen for the role only after her second audition for Skyfall. Bardem was a part of the 2015 film 5 to 7 and appeared in the film Song to Song alongside Ryan Gosling, Natalie Portman, and Rooney Mara.
