Vanna White

  Vanna White, born Vanna Marie RosichFebruary 18, 2005, is an American television personality. She is popular as the Wheel of Fortune hostess since 1982. Vanna Marie Rosich was born on February 18, 1957, near North Myrtle Beach in Horry County, South Carolina, the daughter of Joan Marie (Nicholas) and Miguel Angel Rosich. The couple was Joan and Herbert White Jr. in North Myrtle Beach. Her parents divorced shortly after she was born. White chose to adopt her stepfather's name as she was who was an ex-broker in real estate. White was greeted by a flood of praise, announced that her stepfather had died peacefully on the first day of April 2022. White completed her high school and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she attended The Atlanta School of Fashion and Design and worked as a model. In 1979, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She was in the summer of 1980 back in South Carolina with her mother, who was dying of ovarian cancer. White's debut TV appearance came in the year 1980 when she was a contestant at Miss Georgia USA 1978. She was one of the four first contestants on The Price Is Right's June 20th episode in 1980. While she didn't appear on the stage, the footage of her running towards Contestants Row was rebroadcast in The Price Is Right 25th Anniversary Special, August 1996, The Price Is Right Celebrating 50 Years in September 2021. White also appeared in The Price Is Right Game Show Moments Gone Bananas. White made an appearance in a movie in the year 1980, which was in progress. The film was later made into a film and was made available as Gypsy Angels in June 1990. In the year 1981, she landed part of the film Looker and also appeared as Doris in the horror movie Graduation Day, an American film that was directed by Herb Freed and produced by Troma Entertainment.
