Rebecca Black

Rebecca Renee Black, born June 21, 1997, is a popular American YouTuber and a singer. Her name was featured in a variety of media when the music video for her single "Friday" was a huge hit on YouTube as well as other social media platforms. Many music critics and viewers criticized Friday's song, calling it "the most awful song of all time". Black released other songs like her Dave Days collaboration "Saturday". Her YouTube channel is currently hosting videos about various topics. Two separate extended plays were released by Black, Rebecca Black Was Here (2021) and RE/BL (2017). Black was born in Irvine, California. John Jeffery Black and Georgina Martquez Kelly both vets are her parents. Her mother is Mexican and her father hails from Iowa. Black went to a private school beginning in kindergarten until sixth grade. Then she transferred to a public school because of harassment. Black was a part of the school's musical theater program as she believed she was "meant" to be in the program. In April 2011, Black dropped out in favour of homeschooling. She cited two reasons: a desire to concentrate on her work and an effort to avoid being taunted from former students. Black said she was struggling in English classes due to her busy schedule.
