  Lela Loren is an American television and film actress. Loren is best known for her part in Angela Valdes, a Starz television show. Loren also mentions in an interview that she waited some time to secure her first audition. She earned her degree from the university in her 40s, and became a teacher; her father, an American was employed as an economist when she was married to her mother.She was raised in Sacramento, California, and later, in suburban Sacramento while spending the summer in a region that was her mother's ancestral home located in Mexico. Loren has claimed that despite her mom being from Michoacan, Mexico, she did not learn Spanish before the age of 10, and that it helped her to communicate with relatives after returning to the community from which her mother came. Since her early years, Loren had surrounded herself with a variety of animals, and had intended a job in biology. Loren attended an all-girls' school in which she was a member of the men's rowing team.
