Kristin Fisher

  Kristin Anne Fisher (born July 29th, 1983) is an American journalist and television news former presenter as well as White House correspondent for Fox News. Today, she is the CNN Space & Defense correspondent. Her birthplace was in Houston, Texas to Dr. Anna Lee Fisher, and Dr. William Frederick Fisher. Her parents were both astronauts and emergency medical doctors. Her graduation from Boston University's College of Communication with a BA in broadcast journalism.After school, Fisher worked for ABC-affiliate KJCT-LP in Grand Junction, Colorado and the ABC affiliate KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas. The station moved to Washington, D.C. in 2009 and worked as an independent journalist for ABC News/NewsOne and then for four more years for CBS-affiliate WUSA-TV. She reported on the 2008 presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Mike Huckabee.In 2015, she joined Fox News as a general assignment reporter in its DC bureau and was replaced by Molly Henneberg.A couple of days prior to the Thanksgiving holiday Fisher's bureau chief made an offer to her the position of White House correspondent, though she was not able to know the specifics of the job at the time as the only thing he could do was claim that it was something she would want. Fisher was planning to host a Christmas celebration for friends and family however she was enthralled by the secrecy. She trusted her chief and accepted the position.
