Kristin Fisher

  Kristin Anne Fisher (born July 29 in 1983) is an American journalist and television news former presenter as well as White House correspondent for Fox News. She is now the Space & Defense correspondent for CNN.Kristin Fisher was born in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Dr. Anna Lee Fisher and Dr. William Frederick Fisher. Both her parents were astronauts and physicians who practice emergency medicine. After finishing Boston University's College of Communication, Fisher earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. She then worked at ABC-affiliate KJCT LP located in Grand Junction, Colorado, and ABC-affiliated KATV, Little Rock, Arkansas. In 2009, she relocated to Washington, D.C. where she was a freelance correspondent for ABC News/NewsOne and then for four years with CBS-affiliated WUSA-TV.Fisher worked as an independent reporter for ABC NewsOne and WUSA-TV. She covered the 2008 presidential campaigns of both Hillary Clinton and Mike Huckabee.In 2015, she was hired by Fox News as a general assignment reporter for its DC bureau, replacing Molly Henneberg.A couple of days prior to Thanksgiving 2019 Fisher's bureau chief made an offer to her the job of White House correspondent, though the chief was unable to tell her what the position was at the time , as he was only permitted to claim that it was something she could possibly want. Fisher was planning to host a holiday party for family and friends however she was enthralled by the secrecy. Fisher trusted her bureau chief and accepted the position.
