Sherri Shepherd

  Sherri Shepherd (born on April 22, 1967)is an American actress as well as a comedian, author, and television personality. Shepherd was the host of The View from 2007 to 2014. She was awarded numerous Daytime Emmy Award nominations for the show, including one nomination in 2009. She also appeared on the sitcoms The Jamie Foxx Show (1996-2001), Less than Perfect (2002-2006), Sherri (2009), Trial & Error (2017-2018), and Mr. Iglesias (2019-2020).In 2009 she published her first book, Permission Slips for Every Woman's Guide to Giving Herself the Time of Day. She appeared on the 14th season's reality competition program Dancing with the Stars. Shepherd was frequent on 30 Rock as Angie Jordan. She was also host of the Best Ever Trivia Show. Shepherd was born in Chicago. She is the daughter of Lawrence A. Shepherd (born circa 1947) and LaVerne Shepherd (d. 1991). She is the oldest of three sisters.
