Linda Blair

  Linda Denise Blair (born January 22 1959) is an American actress and activist. She was Regan MacNeil in the horror film The Exorcist (1973), for which she won the Golden Globe Award and received a nomination for an Academy Award. It established her as a horror icon and scream queen; she reprised the part in the sequel Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) and for which she earned a nomination for the Saturn Award.Blair continued to appear in numerous TV films including Born Innocent (1974), Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic (1975), and Stranger in Our House (1978) and then established herself as a sexual symbol in the musical film Roller Boogie (1979). In the 80s, she appeared in a variety of exploitation and horror movies, including the Slasher Hell Night (1981), Chained Heat (1983), as well as the gritty horror film of the cult Savage Streets (84). Blair was a frequent guest on independent films, B movies, and television shows throughout the 1990s. She was the host of the Fox Family reality series Scariest Places on Earth (2000-2006) and had regular appearances in the Animal Planet series Pit Boss (2010-2012).
