Kim Engelbrecht

  Kim Suzanne Engelbrecht (born 20 June 1980) is an South African actress best known for her roles as Lolly de Klerk in the soap opera Isidingo and Sgt. Noma Banks in the Syfy TV show Dominion and Marlize DeVoe on The CW show The Flash.She hosted a local television programme called Take5 in the 1990s. Engelbrecht's work has a lot local significance in Johannesburg. Kim had a starring role in the South African film Bunny Chow directed by John Barker.She received her first major break at twelve when she was cast in the lead part of Sara in the Italian production called Sarahsara, in which she played a 12-year-old girl of Sudanese descent who swims from the Isle of Capri to Napoli in Italy.Engelbrecht played Marlize DeVoe in the fourth season (2017-2018) of The Flash. She spoke to Kyle Zeeman, Sunday Times's Sunday Times reporter, about her experience working with actors such as Grant Gustin, who plays The Flash as well as Neil Sandilands (also a South African). I am coming into a show that is the largest on the network and is currently in its fourth season. It has a massive number of fans and that is a lot of pressure. It's a major spectacle. It is a huge deal for South Africa and I want to do well."
