Teresa Palmer

  Teresa Mary Palmer was born 26 February 1986 in the Australian state of Victoria. She is an actor and writer as well as a model. Her first appearances were in Bedtime Stories (2008) and The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010). She also appeared in Take Me Home Tonight (2011) and I Am Number Four (2011). Her roles in Warm Bodies (2013) and Lights Out (2016), Hacksaw Hill (2016), Berlin Syndrome (2017) were recognized further. Together with her husband Mark Webber, she also co-wrote and directed the dramatic film The Ever After (2014). From 2018 to 2022 she appeared in A Discovery of Witches as Diana Bishop. Palmer was born and was raised in Adelaide, South Australia, the sole child of Kevin Palmer, an investor and Paula Sanders, a former nurse and missionary. At the age of three, young the couple divorced. Her stepmother is Kaaren Palmer, as well as two half-sisters and two stepbrothers who lived with her father. Interview with Palmer revealed that she came "from rather humble starting points". She lived in public housing and often visited her father at his farm in the Adelaide Hills. Palmer, named after Mother Teresa, was given her name by her mother. She said that her mother had manic depression and that her childhood was not easy.
