Sarah Kate Silverman (born December 1 1970) is an American comedian, actress, and writer. Her show tackles taboos and controversial topics that include racism, sexism homophobia, homophobia, politics and religion. Sometimes, she has her comic character endorse these topics in a satirical or deadpan manner. She has been honored with two Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on television.Silverman was the writer and performer for Saturday Night Live, and she starred in and produced The Sarah Silverman Program, that ran from 2007 until the end of 2010 on Comedy Central, for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. In 2010, she published her autobiography The Bedwetter. She also appeared on other TV shows including Mr. Show and V.I.P. and was a part of films like Who's the Caboose? (1997) The School of Rock(2003) The Wreck-It Ralph (2012) as well as A Million Ways to Die In the West (2014). Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018). In 2015, she was a part-time actress in the dramatic I Smile Back, for which she was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by female actors in a Leading Role.During the 2016 election, she became increasingly politically active; she initially ran for Bernie Sanders but later spoke to support Hillary Clinton at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.She hosted the Hulu streaming television late-night talk show I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman from 2017 until late in 2018.
