Rachel Brosnahan

  Rachel Elizabeth Brosnahan (born July 12, 1990) is an American actress. Rachel Elizabeth Brosnahan, an American actress, was born in July 12 in 1990. She was also a regular in House of Cards which is the Netflix political thriller series in which she played Rachel Posner. In addition she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Show in 2018, and two Golden Globe Awards consecutively for the Best actress in a TV Series Musical or Comedy in 2018. Brosnahan was the daughter of Carol and Earl Brosnahan who were children's publishers. Her mother is British and her father is an American of Irish descent. Since the age of 4, Brosnahan was raised in Highland Park, Illinois. She has a younger brother and sister. She is the niece of fashion designer Kate Spade (nee Brosnahan).Though she is famous for her role as the role of a Jewish character on TV, Brosnahan herself is not from Jewish descendance. She has said that she was "happily immersed" in Jewish culture due to the Jewish community of Highland Park, Illinois.
