Paula Faris

  Paula Faris (born October 26 1975) is an American journalist and TV reporter, formerly of ABC News. She is well-known for her tenure as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 until 2018 and also as co-host of The View from 2015 to 2018. Prior to this, Faris co-anchored World News Now as well as America This Morning. Faris was born in Jackson, Michigan on October 26 1975. She went to Jackson Christian School. She is a 1997 graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in broadcasting, an emphasis in television production.After graduation, Faris held several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She held a job in radio sales due to limited television opportunities. After one year working as a production assistant for WKEF/WRGT, she was elevated to occasional anchor and reporting. She was the weekend anchor for WCPO TV in Cincinnati as well as the anchor on weekdays for WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2005. She was a sports reporter at NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from November 2005 to December 2011 when her contract was terminated. In December 2011 it was announced that Faris was hired by ABC's news division, ABC News. Faris made her debut on the network for its World News Now and America This Morning on January 2nd, 2012. She also appeared as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as an anchor. Faris was later promoted to New York-based correspondent for all ABC News programs.Her final episode of World News Now and America This Morning was January 22nd in 2013.
