Monica Crowley

  Monica Elizabeth Crowley was born on the 19th of September, 1968. She was Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs in the U.S. Department of the Treasury. She was a political commentator and lobbyist.She was an Fox News contributor, where she worked (with some breaks) from 1996 until 2017. She was a former online opinion editor for The Washington Times and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.In December 2016, the Donald Trump administration announced that Crowley would be appointed a deputy national security adviser for the National Security Council. After being accused of plagiarising parts of her book What the (Bleep?) What Just Happened? resigned a month after. Crowley was named spokesperson for the Treasury Department on July 16 2019. She was officially sworn into the position on the 24th of July, 2019. Crowley was born at Fort Huachuca, an Army base located outside Sierra Vista, Arizona, and was raised in Warren Township, New Jersey. Crowley graduated in 1986 from Watchung Hills Regional High School. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in political science from Colgate University, and a Ph.D. (2000-2001) in international relations from Columbia University. Parts of the dissertation were claimed to have been plagiarized.
