Keesha Ulricka Sharp (nee Fletch; born June 9, 1973) is an American actress and director. Following her first stint as a TV actress, she was cast in television dramas. She then played the role as Monica Charles Brooks on UPN/The CW's comedy series Girlfriends (2002-08) in which she received the NAACP Image Award. (2007), and between 2010 and 2013, she was a co-star in the TBS sitcom Are We There Yet. She played Dale Cochran in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story which is an FX drama series. Sharp was the main character on Fox's comedy-drama series Lethal Weapon from 2016 to the year 2019. Sharp was awarded a NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actress In the Comedy Series for her performance as Trish Murtaugh. Sharp was born in Rochester. Sharp began her career on the stage after graduating from The Boston Conservatory. Sharp performed in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and made her debut Off-Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. Sharp also appeared in eight roles in the comedy that was interactive Eat the Runt. Other performances in the theatre include Abyssinia and Thunder Knockin and Jitney. She was also a part in The Producers, Big Street and Suburb and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, she was a guest star in Welcome to New York, Third Watch and Law & Order Special Victims Unit.
