Katharine Hope McPhee (born March 25, 1984) is an American performer, songwriter, and actress. She gained fame in the month of May 2006 when she was the fifth season's runner-up of American Idol. Her debut album, "Over It", was released by RCA Records on January 30 in 2007. It debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and sold 381,000 copies as of December 2010. At the time of its release in January 2011, this album was sold out in 23,000 copies. McPhee's fourth album, Hysteria was released on September 18 in 2015.
