Emily Kinney

  Emily Rebecca Kinney (born August 15 1985) is an American singer, actress, and songwriter. She is known for her character Beth Greene on AMC's horror drama TV series The Walking Dead (2011-2015, 2018). Kinney has also appeared on many other television shows like Showtime's Masters of Sex and The Arrow and The Flash from CW. She starred alongside Hayley Atwell on Conviction on ABC in the year 2016. Kinney was born in the year 1985 in Lancaster, Nebraska, to Vaughn Charles and Jeanne Kinney. She and her family frequently relocated during her childhood, including to Nevada, Oregon, and other regions of Nebraska. 3 Kinney was a student at New York University. She completed her studies at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree from acting. Kinney moved to New York to pursue a Broadway career as well as an acting career. Kinney began her acting career in coffee shops where she met with people from the theatre and music industries. 7 She appeared in 20 shows during her four years in college. She began her acting career professionally at age 21, when she was chosen to appear in the production Spring Awakening as Anna, the young German schoolgirl. Kinney starred in August's Osage County the following year as Jean Fordham. After being cast as Emily in the show on Showtime called The Big C, Kinney was later seen on NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent in which she co-starred alongside Jeannie Richmond. Kinney made her film debut with Aunt Tigress in the role of Gina. Kinney continued to appear in a variety of roles, including appeared in cameo roles in various TV and film shows.
