Eleanor Tomlinson

  Eleanor May Tomlinson (born 19 May 1992) is an English actor and singer from England. Her film credits include Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging (2008), Jack the Giant Slayer (2013), Colette (2018), Love Wedding Repeat (2020). Tomlinson was also in the BBC One series Poldark (2015-2019). Tomlinson was born and was raised in London, England. As a child her family moved from London to Beverley in East Riding of Yorkshire. She attended Beverley High School. She is the daughter of Judith Hibbert (a singer) and Malcolm Tomlinson (an actor and commentator on horse racing). The brother of Malcolm, Ross Tomlinson, is also an actor.In 2006, Tomlinson starred in The Illusionist as Young Sophie.She was in the film for teens Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging in 2008, in which she plays Jas. Tomlinson was Kirsten in 2009's Pro Sieben international production Hepzibah - You sleep dich im Schlaf together with David Bamber, under the direction of Robert Sigl.Tomlinson continued to appear as Eve, an alien, in "The Mad Woman in the Attic"--episodes three and four of the series 3 of the Sarah Jane Adventures in 2009, as well as Fiona Chataway in the film Alice in Wonderland which premiered in theatres on 5 March 2010. In 2013, she played Xenya in the movie Siberian Education by Gabriele Salvatores.After a long search, Tomlinson was cast as the Princess Isabelle in Jack the Giant Slayer (2013), produced by Bryan Singer. The actress was also in the Agatha-Christie's Poirot episode "The Labours of Hercules" (2013) as Alice Cunningham.In 2013 she starred in the TV series The White Queen, as Lady Isabel Neville and as Georgiana Darcy in the BBC adaptation of Death Comes to Pemberley. She played Demelza in Poldark, a BBC One television series about Poldark. Tomlinson was 56th on the 2018 "Radio Times TV 100" List. The list was compiled by TV executives and broadcasters. Wells novel of the same name--playing Amy, a role different from that of the wife of book's narrator.In 2021, she played Lady Gabby in Stephen Merchant & Elgin James comedy drama for BBC television, The Outlaws.
