Devon Aoki

  Devon Edwenna Aoki (born August 10, 1982) is an American actress and fashion model. Aoki was born in New York City in 1982. Her birthplace was Malibu in California and went to High School at The American School in London. Her father was a wrestler and owner of the Benihana restaurant Hiroaki. Her mother, Pamela Hilburger (a jewelry designer), is her father. Her father was Japanese and her mother has German and English heritage. When she was 13 years older, she started modeling. In the same year, her godmother introduced Kate Moss to her. She has an older sibling and younger brother, as well as four half-siblings that include Steve Aoki. Aoki is also the mother to fellow model Yumi Nu. Aoki walked on runways for Chanel, Comme des Garcons, Balenciaga and Comme des Garcons after her 1997 runway debut. Aoki, 16 years old has replaced Naomi Campbell as Versace's face. She has walked for Chanel, Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg and Jean Paul Gaultier.
